4. Application-Specific Privacy Disclosures
To ensure total transparency and compliance with Google Play Developer Policies, the sections below detail the specific data collection and permission handling for our mobile applications.
A. WareFlow App (‘com.stellarislab.wareflow)
WareFlow is designed as a local-first, privacy-focused warehouse and inventory management application.
1. Camera & Barcode Scanning (`android.permission.CAMERA`)
- Purpose: WareFlow requests access to your device camera strictly to perform real-time scanning of barcodes and QR codes on warehouse inventory items, articles, and shelf locations.
- Data Handling: Camera frames are analyzed ephemerally in real-time on your device using Google ML Kit Barcode Scanning and CameraX APIs.
- Privacy Guarantee: WareFlow does not record, capture, store, or transmit camera images or video feeds to any remote server or third party. All barcode image recognition takes place locally in system memory.
2. Location Data & Mapping (`ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`, `ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION`)
- Purpose: WareFlow requests location access while you are using the interactive warehouse mapping feature (powered by OpenStreetMap / `osmdroid`). Location data is used strictly in the foreground to center the map on your physical warehouse location and assist in tagging warehouse GPS coordinates.
- Data Handling: Location coordinates are processed locally on your device. WareFlow does not perform background location tracking, nor does it share location data with advertisers or data brokers.
3. Local Data Storage & Import / Export
- On-Device Database: All your inventory items, stock counts, article categories, warehouse zones, location codes, and transaction audit histories are stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite/Room database and DataStore preferences.
- Data Control & File Import/Export: You retain 100% ownership of your business data. WareFlow allows you to manually import and export inventory data in standard CSV, JSON, or Excel formats using Android System File Pickers (`FileProvider`). Exported files are stored strictly where you choose on your device.
4. In-App Purchases & Billing (`com.android.vending.BILLING`)
- Payment Processing: Pro features and subscriptions within WareFlow are processed securely through the Google Play Billing API.
- Financial Privacy: StellarisLab does not collect, receive, or store payment card details, banking credentials, or full billing addresses. All transaction processing, payment authorization, and subscription lifecycle management are handled exclusively by Google Play.
5. No Third-Party Advertising or Tracking in WareFlow
- WareFlow does not contain third-party banner ads or targeted advertisements.
- WareFlow does not use mobile Advertising Identifiers (GAID) or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.
6. Account & Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
- No User Account Required: WareFlow does not require registration, login credentials, or online user profile creation.
- Instant Data Erasure: Because all inventory data resides locally on your device, you have full authority to delete your data at any time:
- In-App Data Management: Clear individual databases or reset settings within app screens.
- Device-Level Deletion: Go to Android Settings > Apps > WareFlow > Storage and select Clear Data or Clear Storage, or simply Uninstall the WareFlow app. All local databases, preferences, and cached map files will be permanently erased immediately.
B. Shopping Memo & Other StellarisLab Applications
For our consumer utility applications (such as Shopping Memo):
- Third-Party Advertising & Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google (AdMob) and Google Analytics, may store cookies, web beacons, or mobile advertising identifiers on your device to serve targeted advertisements and analyze non-personally identifiable usage statistics.
- Ad Opt-Out: You can manage or disable personalized advertising at any time through your device operating system settings or within the app's Settings menu under the Privacy section. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout .
